September 26, 2008, Yves Rossy of Switzerland, 49, flew across the English Channel for 13 minutes on his rocket wings. He safely landed in Dover, England. He designed his flying device, spent $190K. His first successful trial was on June 24, 2004. There were failed flights, and yet he made 30 powered flights since. No fear. Driven by his passion. Continually improving.
